This was such an exciting week for us and Ms. Cole's class from Jacob G. Smith Elementary PTA We had the opportunity to roll out our brand new Flight Simulators with this group and it was AMAZING! Ms. Cole's class definitely has future pilots on the horizon. Her class jumped right into the experience and completely crushed their co-pilot and pilot responsibilities!!

Starbase Savannah is with DOWEA Diamond Elementary School. This week we were so busy enjoying two awesome classes from Dodea Diamond Elementary School that we haven’t gotten a chance to post all week!!! Congratulations to Dr. Miles and Dr. Breaux 5th-grade classes on graduating STARBASE, a special thanks to CSM Favor for taking the time out of his busy day to come speak to our students. It means the most to them!

Our first summer session this year is Flight University! This session is for rising 6th- 8th graders. The session is from June 22nd- June 25th, 2026 from 9:00 am- 2:00pm. During Flight University students will learn about the concepts/ principles surrounding flight/aviation and fly using on our flight simulators! As always, the session is FREE. Parent(s) are responsible for transportation to and from the session and to provide a non microwavable lunch each day of the session. There are only 16 spots available for this session. Starbase Savannah is with Savannah-Chatham County Public School System and 2 others In our station rotation, Mr.Williams 5th graders visiting from Jacob G. Smith Elementary PTA are learning that objects move toward the area of lower pressure. Introducing Bernoulli’s principle at a 5th grade level with hopes of encouraging them to STEM careers such as aviation or physics.

Starbase Savannah is with Savannah Children's Museum. This past Saturday STARBASE Savannah attended the Savannah Children's Museum annual Suess Fest. Attendees had to determine which objectives were magnetic and move through a Seuss themed maze.
