Students " Tank" & " Snake Heart" from Metter Elementary School absolutely crushed our flight simulators last week. Students fly the flight simulators in a Pilot & Co-pilot combination to encourage collaboration and positive communication - which came so natural to both of them! We hope their time at STARBASE Savannah has peaked their interest in aviation & all things STEM.

Junior Pilot Academy will take place July 21st- July 24th for RISING 4th & 5th graders from 9:00 am- 2:00pm. During Junior Pilot Academy students will learn about concepts and principles surrounding flight, explore aviation through our Flight Simulators and complete engineering design problems surrounding aviation! There are only 6 more spots available! As always, the session is FREE. This week we have St. Andrew's School - Savannah, GA in the building!! Students from Ms.Jefferson and Ms.Tickle class did such a great job using the Engineering Design Process to create a " cargo ship" using our Sphero bolt robots.

Starbase Savannah is with Savannah-Chatham County Public School System and 2 others We enjoyed New Hampstead K-8 School STEAM night on yesterday, attendees were able to code our Sphero Robots through our maze.

During our STEMAZING Race Camp our friends visited different countries during this activity they visited China and had to create the Great Wall of China and had to defend the Great Wall of China with various household items and supplies and our new Sphero Blueprint kits.

While our Flight University Summer session for middle schoolers is gaining traction, we have been getting a lot of questions about a summer session for 4th & 5th graders.
